Eat organic… avoid poisoning yourself

As a sweetening agent, few bargain (non-organic) foods are free of high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS). It’s addictive, and it is added unnecessarily to almost everything. The substance has been linked to increased obesity. Now it may be responsible for brain, heart, lung, kidney and immune system disorders (not to mention death), thanks to the discovery of mercury in HFCS.

Mercury… everywhere

According to Coley, nearly half of tested HFCS samples from commercial foods contained mercury in two recent major U.S. studies, the first published in a recent issue of Environment Health and the other conducted by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP).
