Responsible borrowers only use payday loans for absolute necessities, and what is more essential than medical care? Sure, it’s easy to ignore those bills when the come in the mail, but take it from me, those bills will be turned over to a collections agency and your credit score will plummet real fast.

Health insurance for kids

However, thanks to a bill that President Barack Obama intends to sign today, fewer families will be needing payday loans to make sure their medical bills don’t end up being black marks on their credit reports. The bill extends children’s health insurance and “will enable states to cover more than 4 million uninsured children by 2013,” according to the New York Times.

Who gets health insurance help

The House gave the bill final approval today in a vote of 290 to 135. The program helps families who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but still can’t afford private health insurance.
