The spike-tailed vulture scavenges for dead animals

If it finds an animal that is not dead, but is severely injured, it beats it to death with its spiky tail. This vulture will eat anything it can find, but its favorites are raccoons, small birds, rabbits, squirrels, and deer. A plain with tall trees is the habitat of the spike-tailed vulture. The plains are home to many of the animals the vulture likes to eat. Tall trees provide perfect places for them to build their nests and raise their young. If the climate were to suddenly change to a desert climate, with little or no rain, the spike-tailed vulture would not be able to survive there for very long. All the animals that it eats would move away or die. The vulture would eat all the dead animals that didn't survive. Then it would have to move to another plain
